A plant named 'kochia' could help NM ranchers survive drought, changing climate

ABIQUIU - As weather patterns change causing drier conditions, rangelands and pastures may be in need of re-vegetation. Meanwhile, livestock producers are looking for ways to provide nutritional forage for their animals.

To meet both needs, New Mexico State University College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences researchers are searching for forage plants that will adapt to the changing weather patterns.
