They are taught to load/unload in a trailer, and stand for the farrier and vet. They are also trained to be bathed, clipped, and blanketed. Under saddle, the colts are taught basic body control at the walk, jog, and lope. Throughout the semester the colts are introduced to a variety of environments such as indoor/outdoor riding arenas, being ridden over logs and bridges and crossing water.
