The second floor of the Animal Science Building has two fully equipped laboratories, two instrument rooms, one tissue culture room, and a darkroom. The laboratories support research in biochemical toxicology and molecular biology. Equipment includes incubators, fume hoods, high performance liquid chromatographs, microscopes, electrophoresis units, computers, water baths, centrifuges, an ultracentrifuge, a thermocycler, a liquid scintillation counter, a spectrophotometer, a sterile hood, an ultralow freezer, a controlled environment chamber, a Polaroid camera, and various other equipment common to a research laboratory. This building is located on the quad between the Geology building and the Widtsoe Hall/Chemistry building.
